Our Articles of Faith

The fellowship, being an inter-denominational one, is conscious of the varied interpretations of the Bible amongst devout Christians as well as the difference in the areas of emphasis and focus amongst the different denominations in matters of doctrine. The fellowship is also cognisant of the fact that the devil may exploit these differences to debilitate the fellowship. In order to guide against this potential danger, the fellowship subscribes to the following Biblical doctrines to which all members must also subscribe:

01
We believe that all scriptures, both New and Old Testaments, are written by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit (2 Tim. 3: 16 – 17). All the Christian teachings and the Christian attitude of the children of God are such that are established in the Holy Bible. (2 Tim. 3: 10 – 15; 2 Peter 1: 21; John 17: 17; Psalm 119:105).
02
We believe that there is only one God who is the creator of both visible and invisible creatures (Gen. 1: 1. Psalm 86: 9 – 10, Isa. 43: 10 – 11) and being in Trinity of God the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost (Gen. 1: 26 – 27; Matthew 3: 16 – 17, 28: 19).
03
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who died for and took away the sins of the world and He is the Saviour of the world. We also believe Jesus Christ is God and man begotten by the Holy Spirit and born by the virgin Mary and through Him, all things were created (John 1: 1 – 14, 14: 9; Matthew 1: 18 – 25; Isaiah 9: 6).
04
We believe in the existence of the Holy Spirit as the third Person in the Trinity having the same power and glory with God the Father and God the Son (John 14: 16 – 17; 15: 26; Matt. 3: 16).
05
We believe that there is Satan, the devil, who seeks the downfall of every man. He brought sin, sickness, and death unto the world and seeks the destruction of those who exercise their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ hence his activities must be resisted steadfastly in prayers and application of the Word of God by all Christians (Gen. 3: 1 – 16; Matt. 4: 1 – 11, James 4: 7; 1 Peter 5: 8).
06
We believe in the gift of personal salvation of man, made possible by the death of Jesus Christ on the cross whenever a man or woman repents from and forsakes his/her sins and accept Jesus Christ as his/her Lord and Saviour by faith. (Acts 3: 19, 20: 21; Prov. 28: 13).
07
We believe in sanctification by the blood of Jesus Christ and the Word of God, in personal holiness of heart and life and in separation from the world (John 17: 15 – 17; Heb. 2: 11, 13: 12; 1 John 1: 7; Luke 1: 74 – 75 etc).
08
8 We believe in divine healing by faith in God through Christ Jesus as healing is included in the atonement for our sins by Jesus Christ (1 Peter 2: 24; Matt. 8: 17; 9: 35).
09
We believe in water baptism by immersion in the name of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit as a demonstration of our association with Jesus Christ in His death, burial and resurrection (Matt. 28: 19; Rom 6; Col. 2: 12).
10
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Ghost accompanied by the initial physical sign of speaking in tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance (Acts 2: 4, 10: 44 – 46, 19: 2 – 6).
11
We believe in the resurrection of the dead, the eternal happiness of the believer in heaven and the eternal punishment of the unbeliever in hell fire (John 5: 25 – 27, 28 – 29; Acts 24: 15; 1 Cor. 15: 42 – 44).
12
We believe in the imminent Second Coming of Jesus Christ in physical form that will be visible to all in like manner as He was seen ascending up to heaven (Acts 1: 9 – 11; John 14: 3; Rev. 1: 7).
13
We believe in the Great Commission, which calls for a diligent, intensive and aggressive evangelisation of the whole world, especially the middle and top echelons of every society with the demonstration of the Power of God.
